The project “The Secret Week” is based on seven paintings, like the days of the week that composed the secret diary of Marquess Casati Stampa.
In the Green Book the Marquess reports in the form of a diary the sexual adventures of his wife whom he murdered with her lover before committing suicide.
The seven days of the week are seven obscene images taken from the 1500 pictures found by the astonished detectives who were searching the house after the crime.
In 1974 Silvio Berlusconi acquired the property of Villa San Martino Casati Stampa in Arcore with the help of Cesare Previti, guardian of the then minor daughter of the Marquess, Annamaria Casati Stampa, and made it into his personal residence.
The sexual scandals associated with the mansion seem almost to open and close the last fifty years of Italian history.
Il progetto “The Secret Week” si sviluppa su sette opere, come i giorni della settimana che si sono susseguiti nel diario segreto del Marchese Casati Stampa.
Nel ‘libro verde’ il Marchese riporta sotto forma di diario le avventure sessuali della moglie, che ucciderà con l’amante nell’agosto del ‘70, uccidendosi poi a sua volta.
I sette giorni della settimana diventano sette immagini oscene tratte delle 1500 fotografie trovate dagli stupefatti inquirenti alla volta della perquisizione domiciliare.
Nel 1974 Silvio Berlusconi acquisisce Villa San Martino Casati Stampa ad Arcore tramite Cesare Previti, pro-tutore della figlia minorenne del marchese Annamaria, eleggendola sua residenza personale.
La residenza di Villa San Martino e gli scandali sessuali vecchi e nuovi ad essa legati sembrano iniziare e chiudere la storia degli ultimi cinquant’anni d’Italia.
